ESAIR Best Presentation Award
Maarten Marx won the Best Presentation Award at ESAIR 2009 : Exploiting Semantic Annotations in Information Retrieval with his talk about long, often quite boring, documents.
In the talk, Maarten showed several ways of exploiting the extracted XML structure of the Dutch Parliamentary proceedings: for focused retrieval and for result aggregation.
